Summary Directs activities of workers concerned with construction of carpentry trade, or other construction tasks by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for carpentry trade.
Orders procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules. Confers with and directs personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of planning to prevent delays.
Confers with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to resolve problems within work force.
Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods detailed to carpentry trade.
Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to crew schedule.
Directs workers concerned with major maintenance for existing installations detailed to carpentry trade.
Responsible for directing installation of doors, frames and hardware.
Responsible for production and quality of millwork, trim metal studs, drywall and acoustic ceilings.
Inspect and conduct on-site repairs or maintenance.
Manage small special projects.
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these assigned trade. Also directly supervises various non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include evaluating new hires, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in a construction related field; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine rep01ts and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems;
Development software; Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software, and Word processing.

Valid driver’s license
30 Hour OSHA card
Rough terrain forklift certification
Aerial Lift certification
First Aid and CPR
Must be willing to travel to job locations.
Meet attendance level to equal or exceed that of supervision. Must work in other trades as needed.
Must have required FCC tool list.
Work with others in a harmonious way and maintain a pleasant attitude. Demonstrate proper use of company tools and equipment.
Work overtime and weekends as needed.
Demonstrate the proper use of personal protective equipment. Perform any general maintenance or cleanup work
Perform any demolition work
Attend appropriate training courses when requested.
