Canal Winchester – McGill Park Shelter

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Ferguson Construction is proud to have built the McGill Park Three Seasons Shelter House, a remarkable addition to the 84-acre McGill Park in Canal Winchester. The City began construction of this expansive park in 2021, with the first section opening in July 2022. The park features a range of amenities, including soccer fields, a nature-themed playground, walking trails, and an open shelter house.

Construction on the three-season shelter house began in September 2023, designed to enhance community use throughout the year. The new facility is a step up from former facilities, giving renters access to a warming kitchen, sink, and restrooms. The addition of overhead doors and a gas fireplace makes it rentable for more of the year, too. With a seated capacity for 62 and a maximum capacity of 123, the pavilion includes picnic-style tables, two charcoal grills, and additional seating on the adjacent patios. This facility offers a versatile and comfortable space for community gatherings and events year-round.
