Mercy mission house

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Ferguson Construction proudly served as the general contractor for the Mercy Mission House (MMH) Emergency Shelter in Sidney, Ohio. This project addressed a growing community need for emergency shelter and services in Shelby County. In March 2021, with only partial funding secured, Ferguson pledged a portion of the construction costs and began transforming the old church into a new campus. The renovation included dormitories for men, women, and families, private bathrooms and showers, a commercial kitchen, a multi-purpose room, a quarantine dormitory, and a food pantry, among other facilities. The project was completed in just 10 months.

Since opening in January 2022, the Mercy Mission House has provided critical support to the community, serving over 158 clients. The shelter has helped reunite families, assist individuals in securing housing, and offer support to children and those entering sober living programs. The project not only met an urgent need but has already made a significant impact on the lives of many.
