This past weekend Ferguson’s employees and their families had the opportunity to participate in the yearly Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome at Fifth Third Field in Dayton, Ohio. The Buddy walk was started in 1977 by families, who had family members that had Down Syndrome, and wanted to bring awareness to the communities in which they lived. The members of Ferguson Construction that attend the event, enjoyed various activities like face painting and a 50/50 drawing on Saturday. There were thirty-one people from Ferguson who participate in the walk this year’s event. Not only did people come to show their support by walking but also people gave to the Down Syndrome Association, who organizes the yearly event. As a team Ferguson Construction raised over $1,200 in funds to support the Down Syndrome Association.
