Canstruction and Buddy Walk

Ferguson Construction was proud to be part of two different events this past week in Dayton, Ohio. The Canstruction at the Dayton Mall that benefited The Food Bank, Inc., and the Buddy Walk for Down syndrome to support Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association.

Ferguson was proud to partner with Canstruction, The Food Bank, Inc., and Ohio Valley Associated Builders and Contractors for this years Dayton’s canstruction at the Dayton Mall. Canstruction is a nonprofit organization that hosts worldwide design competitions in which teams create 3-D structures out of canned goods.

Ferguson Construction’s can structure was a hard hat with the FCC’s logo built in a 10’x10’x8h space out of canned spaghetti sauce, canned green beans, canned corn, and canned chicken. A total of 7,489 cans were used to build the hard hat and the logo. The can structure took only five hours to build.

Buddy Walk 2018

The 2018 Buddy Walk for Down syndrome was held at the Fifth Third Field this past weekend to bring awareness and to raise funds for Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association. During this time, people enjoyed an array of activities including Ferguson’s coloring page table. The other activities include face painting, an art table, and a silent auction. The event attendees also took part in a one lap walk around the baseball diamond starting at first base and finishing at home plate.

This year’s Ferguson team included employees and their family members who attended this year’s event and raised $2,500 for the Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association.
