Helix innovation center by copeland
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Copeland, previously known as Emerson Climate Technologies, is a global leader in climate technology with a century of innovation. Boasting 18,000 employees and 3,000 patents, the company sought a trusted partner to construct The Helix, its global HVACR industry education center, launched in partnership with the University of Dayton. Copeland selected Ferguson Construction for this project, which encompassed five key markets: supermarket refrigeration, food service operations, residential connected homes, data center cooling, and light commercial buildings—all housed under one roof. Constructing these specialized modules posed a unique challenge, requiring extensive coordination. As systems were being developed in tandem with construction, numerous modifications were necessary. Nevertheless, the project team adeptly managed these changes to meet the original completion deadline.
