Ferguson Helps with Tornado Relief in Dayton
Over Memorial Day the Dayton area was struck with multiple tornadoes that caused devastation and power outages to a vast number of homes and businesses. Ferguson’s Dayton regional office did not receive any structural damage; however, the building did lose power for almost 5 days. During our power outage, Utsey Shelton, Ferguson Construction’s Outreach Coordinator went straight to work in the community instead of the office to help local churches in the Trotwood, Ohio area provide resources to tornado victims.
The Restoration Church volunteers collected non-perishable food items, bottles of water, bags of ice, and hygiene products in the morning. Each afternoon these items were delivered to individuals in neighborhoods that were affected by the tornadoes. Once those deliveries were complete, the volunteers assisted with delivering hot meals into the community as well.
Ferguson also partnered with Grace Brethren Church and their relief efforts going on in the community.
